Sound elements definitions:
- Sound format - Sound format is when the sound is saved in a different format this will depend on where the sound has to be saved or uploaded. When i am recording i need to take these sound formats in consideration so that the sound is clear.
- Storage - Storage is a way of saving a file in a certain area on a certain device whit whatever capacity it has. I will have to take storage into consideration while i am recording my sounds so that all my recordings are safe and there to use.
- Compression - Compression is when the sound is reduced so that its above a certain threshold. I will need to make sure for this when filming because if the files are to big i will need to compress the file so that it can still be heard.
- Size versus quality
- Lossy - Lossy is when the file is usually compressed and then the quality of the sound is also reduced.
- Lossless- Lossless is when the file is usually compressed but all the data still stays. From this data it shows that there is no loss of quality from the original recoding.
- Bit rates - Bit rates is when a certain amount of data is processed per second.
- File size - File size is when the file is shown on how big it is on the device. All file sizes are different depending on the amount of recoding its has.
