Understand how sound elements are used UNIT 16

Educate:

The sound element educate is used to put a point across to the audience and educate them. The produces educate the audience through information they provide for them. For instance the sound element educate is used in the radio drama "The war after the war" https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m00159st. The reason I picked this radio drama is because it educates the audience about the after efects of the war.

Entertain:

The sound element entertain has many differences that it servers for the audiences. For example one of the purposes of using the sound element entertain is to actually entertain the audience. The producers use the sound element entertain to create a laughing atmosphere for the audience. For instance the sound element entertain is used in this shot clip from the movie "Friday" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGt2dVZ8rt8.  The reason I chose this example is because it gives excitement to the audience that is watching as when he shows his bruised face they all shocked which attracts audience which engages the audience into the movie even more. The dialogue "damn" makes the audience laugh as it stands out.

Inform:

The sound element inform is used to tell the audience what is going on in the programme depending on the different topics that are talked about. The use of sound element is to have awareness on what is going on in the show/programme. An example that I have chosen of where the sound element inform is used on Tv is "BBC  news" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6UV9hVlvHA. The reason I have picked this example is because it informs the audience about what's going on in the world. The presenter is providing information to the target audience that there is war going on in other parts of the world and informing them about what's going on. We can see that the presenter is using the sound element inform.

Sell products:

The sound element sell products is used for the audience. An example that i have chosen of where the sound element sell products is used on Tv is "Miss Dior perfume advert" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOsrjSRfBDY. This advert was created to sell the Dior perfume to the market of the outside world. The video was used to show and attract audience on how nice the perfume smells and get them to buy the perfume. This sound element is targeted towards adults and young adults that buy luxury item's are most likely to purchase this item.

Wild Tracks:

The sound element wild track is an audio recording that is meant to synchronise with the text that is being used. For instance the sound element wild track is found in video games for example "Roblox" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CHsSNqjvOU. In this clip we hear the sound effects of cars and other background noises. This helps create effects to make it sound more real and fun to play.

Atmospheric sounds:

The sound element atmospheric is used to create different types of moods. For instance we see the animation "Mr bean" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixiw7gYiOXk has a atmospheric sound element. In this animation we see that the use of sounds are short and funny. This helps creates a mood for the target audience and helps them enjoy the the animation more and have an understanding of what's going on without dialogue. The animation allows the audience to have a visual understanding with sound effects standing out and the use of no dialogue.

Sound effects:

Sound is used to help create a mood for the audience. For instance, in the film "Snack Attack" https://www.youtube.com/watchv=38y_1EWIE9I&list=PLcX7TDig6sB5VduGjsgXeyNzZhPbmQDso. In the short film we see the producer just uses sound effects and no dialogue to create tension whiten the audience. Sound effects are used to create understanding whiten the audience without having dialogue.
